Chief Operating Officer
Since joining Stifel in 1992, David D. Sliney has worked in a number of capacities, including fixed income trading, capital markets and syndicate, investment banking, technology and operations assimilation, and leading the firm’s merger integration efforts.
As Chief Operating Officer of Stifel Financial Corp., Mr. Sliney is responsible for oversight of technology, operations, and platform development. He previously served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning, Technology, and Operations from 2003 to 2018. Prior to that role, Mr. Sliney worked in the firm’s Equity Syndicate department and as a trader in the Fixed Income department.
Mr. Sliney earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Operations from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
